Under the Ministry of Education, the Common University Entrance Test is being implemented for admission into all UG Programs in all Central Universities for the upcoming academic session (MoE). The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) will give applicants nationwide, especially those from rural and other remote places, a uniform platform and equitable possibilities, and it will also improve connections with universities. The Candidates would be able to participate in the admissions process for numerous Central Universities by taking just one exam.

CUET Selection Process:

CUET (Common University Entrance Test) is not a commonly known entrance exam in India. However, some universities may conduct their own entrance exams for admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Therefore, I will provide the selection process of Christ University Entrance Test (CUET), which is a university-level entrance exam conducted by Christ University for admission to its courses.

The CUET selection process consists of the following stages:

  • Online Application: Candidates need to register themselves online through the official website of Christ University by providing the required personal and academic details and paying the application fee.
  • Admit Card: After successful registration, candidates can download the admit card from the official website by providing the required credentials. The admit card contains important information such as the candidate’s name, roll number, exam center, and exam date.
  • Entrance Exam: The CUET entrance exam consists of a single paper with multiple-choice questions covering various subjects such as English, general knowledge, quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning, and data analysis. The duration of the exam is two hours.
  • Result and Rank List: After the exam, the university releases the CUET result and rank list. The rank list is prepared based on the marks scored by the candidates in the exam.
  • Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI): Candidates who qualify for the exam are eligible for the GD and PI rounds. The GD and PI rounds are conducted to evaluate the candidate’s communication skills, problem-solving ability, and overall personality.
  • Admission: After the GD and PI rounds, candidates are selected for admission based on their overall performance in the entrance exam, GD, and PI. Candidates need to complete the admission formalities, such as document verification and fee payment, to confirm their admission to the course.

It is important to note that the selection process may vary depending on the rules and regulations of the university and the course applied for. Candidates are advised to check the official website for detailed information on the selection process for their preferred course.
